Raden Ajeng Kartini is remembered for her courage to speak, to question, and to open pathways for women to grow and be heard. At NPCT1, this spirit guided the way Kartini Day 2026, on 21 April, was commemoratedâthrough moments that connect people, ideas, and shared values.
The seminar session, held in collaboration with former commissioner of Komnas Perempuan, Masruchah, created a space for open and meaningful discussion on workplace harassment. Participants from NPCT1, along with Corporate Secretary representatives from ports and container terminals across Tanjung Priok, came together to exchange perspectives and strengthen professional solidarity. The conversation covered various forms of harassmentâmoral, digital, and sexualâwhile encouraging greater awareness on how to recognize, respond, and support one another in building a safer work environment.

The celebration continued through a tumpeng decoration competition, where creativity and teamwork came to life. Each group brought its own ideas, expressed through colors, presentation, and storytelling behind their tumpeng.
Project General Manager NPCT1, Yuka Nagakura, emphasized that initiatives like this are intended to bring women together, enabling them to connect, build friendships, and strengthen professional networks. She also noted the importance of raising awareness on various forms of workplace violenceânot only sexual harassment, but also moral harassment, discrimination, and bullyingâwhile encouraging a shared responsibility in creating a respectful and secure working environment for all.
