NPCT1 - New Installation of Solar PV to be supplied by PT Solarion Energi Alam
Jakarta, October 13th, 2023 - NPCT1 and PT Solarion Energi Alam ("Solarion"), one of leading solar power plant development company in Indonesia, signed a pre-execution agreement for the new installation of roof top solar photovoltaics (PV) at NPCT1. Through this installation, NPCT1 becomes the first operator with rooftop solar PV (more than 600 kWp) among other container terminals in Indonesia.
NPCT1 has been currently implementing our own sustainability plan as Green Port Initiative, such as converting conventional floodlights to LEDs, planting trees, in addition to the existing electric RTGs and QCs which greatly support environmentally friendly terminal operation. The new installation of solar PV can further strongly support NPCT1's sustainability plan.
NPCT1 will jointly and closely collaborate with Solarion to early commencement of renewable electricity supply for its own use and then improve the nation's logistics sustainability.
