NPCT1 Welcomes ESL First Direct Service from Jakarta to India & Middle East


May 30, 2024, Jakarta, Indonesia - ESL recently launched SGI (Southeast Asia Gulf India) service, a new direct service from Jakarta to India and the Middle East, and NPCT1 is proud to be home of SGI service. ESL KABIR, which made her maiden call at NPCT1 on 30 May 2024, provides weekly and direct coverage from Jakarta to ports in India and Middle East (Jakarta - Port Klang - Mundra - Jebel Ali - Dammam - Mundra - Port Klang - Laem Chabang). The sizes of vessels deployed for the service range from 5,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) to 6,000 TEUs.

 

This first maiden call is operated by ESL, and it shows ESL's commitment to continuously providing value for its customers, by improving vessel reliability and connectivity despite the global supply chain disruptions. NPCT1, as the strategic partner of ESL in Jakarta, is part of this monumental achievement in supporting the growth of ESL and its customers. 


The launch of this new SGI service was celebrated with a presentation of plaques from NPCT1's Management team to the Master of M.V ESL KABIR, ESL Indonesia and PT. Tisco Sindo Logistics is the established sole agent for ESL in Indonesia since 2016. M.V. ESL KABIR, with voyage handling throughput of close to 2,500 TEUs, berthed at NPCT1 on 30 May early morning and sailed off NPCT1 within one day.
