NPCT1 Welcomes GFS SGS Butterfly Service Connecting Jakarta to Middle East

July 25th, 2024, Jakarta, Indonesia - NPCT1 welcomed Global Feeder Shipping (GFS) for its first-time calling Indonesia. The SGS Butterfly Service which is operated by GFS in a consortium with 6 other Liners namely Emirates Shipping Line, CMA CGM, RCL, KMTC, CU Lines and Pacific International Lines, is connecting Jakarta, Indonesia to India West Coast and Middle East markets.

The weekly GFS SGS Butterfly Service follows the route Laem Chabang - Singapore - Port Klang - Nhava Sheva (NSICT) - Jebel Ali - Dammam - Nhava Sheva (GTI) - Port Klang - Cai Mep - Jakarta - Port Klang - Mundra (MICT) - Jebel Ali - Dammam - Mundra (ADANI) - Port Klang - Laem Chabang and is expected to provide options for cargo owners to ship their cargoes with competitive rate.





The launch of this new SGS Butterfly service was celebrated with a presentation of plaques from NPCT1's Management team to the GFS represented by, PT. Meratus Aryana Agensi (MAA), as the sole agent for GFS in Indonesia, and to the Master of M.V Zhong Gu Shen Yang. MV. Zhong Gu Shen Yang V.02420W made her maiden call at NPCT1 with voyage throughput over 1,600 boxes and handled in less than 24 hours.
