NPCT1 Welcomes HMM's First Direct Service from Jakarta to Latin America
Jakarta, 8 June 2023 - HMM, a leading South Korean shipping company, and New Priok Container Terminal One (NPCT1) are pleased to announce that HMM's service connecting Far East, India and Latin America (FIL) makes its maiden call in Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, on 8th June 2023.
MV. Hyundai Shanghai will be the first vessel for HMM's FIL service at Jakarta with her carrying capacity of 6,987 twenty-foot equivalent units and this marks the first direct service from Indonesia to Latin America, with connection to key Asian ports (Busan - Shanghai - Ningbo - Shekou - Jakarta - Singapore - Kattupalli - Santos - Paranagua - Itapoa - Navegantes - Buenos Aires - Montevideo - Santos - Singapore - Hongkong - Busan).
As an exclusive service operated by HMM, HMM is convinced that this enhanced service will provide more efficient transportation options, hence strengthening trade relationships and promoting economic growth in these regions. On top of that, NPCT1 is honored to be chosen as a strategic partner of HMM to support the FIL service.
The launch of the enhanced FIL service was celebrated with a presentation of plaques from NPCT1's Management team to the Captain of MV. Hyundai Shanghai and HMM Indonesia's Management team. This partnership demonstrates the collaborative efforts and shared commitment between HMM and NPCT1 in delivering best-in-class service and facilitating seamless trade operations.
